Current approaches to generating green hydrogen from seawater require costly desalination, produce toxic by-products, and result in rapid equipment corrosion. These are significant barriers to being able to scale hydrogen production worldwide.

Our Solution

Torvex Energy have plans to change that. We have developed a unique electrochemical reaction process that will revolutionise the efficiency and sustainability of green hydrogen production.

Our game-changing innovation uses natural seawater to produce hydrogen gas in a simple step. Unlike traditional electrolysis methods, our approach does not produce oxygen gas or toxic by-products. Equipment corrosion is minimal and there are no expensive desalination costs.

This safe, sustainable process can be deployed for large scale competitive production of hydrogen for a wide range of applications.

Our team have spent a number of years refining the design to maximise its hydrogen purity and output. We have patents pending in key industrialised countries around the world, and the process has been fully validated through a proof of concept, conducted by the globally recognised research and innovation centre, Materials Processing Institute in Teesside.
